Are you planning a family reunion or company trip in the near future that a large number of people will be attending? If so one of the factors in planning this awesome trip is probably transportation.

Anyone who has been on a trip knows the most frustrating part of the trip is the how do we get there and how do we get home. Also, when it involves a big group of people there is the frustration of how do we all get there at the same time when we are taking different flights. Or who is going to drive, how many cars do we need and how do we all stick together on the road.

The summer means a lot of things for those who are familiar with Idaho summers. It can mean fun days in the sun, hiking and climbing some beautiful mountains, and of course, catching some great white water. Everything you Need to Know About Idaho River Shuttles

Using Shuttle services to get to the river

Summer fun in Idaho can mean a lot of different things, but it almost certainly means spending some time in the water. If you’re a water lover, then you certainly need to check out some of the different rivers that Idaho has to offer, especially the white water. Idaho is home to some of the best whitewater in the world, with many people travelling to our state during the summer for their chance to hit some awesome rapids. At Caldwell Transportation, we’re happy to be providing river shuttles up to Stanley and other areas so folks can enjoy themselves.

Knowing the Difference Between River Rapid Classes

River Rapids classes

Whether you’re an experienced river raft guide or a beginner when it comes to rafting rapids, you still need to follow the same law when it comes to safety and rapid classification. Because there are so many different types of rapids with different sizes and degrees of difficulty, there needs to be a way to classify them with a ranking system. Without this, people wouldn’t know just how tough a rapid is and be ill prepared for the consequences.

Staying Safe on the Rivers this Summer

Be safe on the Salmon River

Caldwell Transportation is happy to have been operating river shuttles for quite some time now, having shuttled thousands of folks back and forth between the Treasure Valley and some of the best river destinations in the state. Because we are fans of the great outdoors, we love to show first-timers and veterans alike just how awesome summers in Idaho can be. Our river shuttles are responsible for taking our clients to the river and keeping them safe on the road, but unfortunately we can’t be responsible for keeping them safe on the river.

River Season Means River Shuttles

With rafting season making its appearance this summer, there will no doubt be enthusiastic adventure seekers making their way to all the whitewater fun Idaho has to offer this summer. But what do you need to know before going out into the wild? We’re assuming that you have a passion for the outdoors and rafting, but other than that, you’ll need to know your skill level and level of comfort with certain rapids and classes of rapids. If you have this figured out, you may also need to know how to get there.
