Catch the Bus to Bogus – Sooner! – This Winter

Those of us who have been skiing Bogus Basin for a while know that the ski season is unpredictable. Fortunately, 2018 marks the start of a new era at the popular Idaho ski resort.

Earlier this month we learned that Bogus received the go-ahead from federal officials to begin making snow, meaning skiers, snowboarders, and winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy the mountain sooner – guaranteed.

Boise’s Favorite Winter Activity is On the Way

Last winter Boise was blanketed with snow for a longer period than most Boiseans are used to. Like most citizens of the Northwest, Boise makes the most of the cold winter season and still finds ways to have fun. The Bogus Basin Ski Resort is a quick 45-minute drive from Boise and provides over 2,600 acres of terrain. Part of that ground includes the Pepsi GoldRush Tubing Hill. Boise’s favorite winter activity causes them to embrace the snow.

Recreation is an amazing thing. As humans, we have invented, perfected, and shared so many types of recreation that there is now something for everyone to do, no matter what. We've built theme parks for the thrill seekers. We've created hiking paths for the adventurous. We've created movie theaters for the story-hungry masses. In truth, we've got this "recreation" thing down to a science--but there's one thing that still manages to stump us, trouble us, and hinder our recreational progress, and that is Mother Nature.

Specifically, we’re referring to the last couple runs up to beautiful Stanley, Idaho and transitioning to runs up to Bogus Basin for some days full of skiing. If you’re unfamiliar with our Bogus runs, you’ll be surprised to know that we have a full Saturday schedule designed to charter up to the mountain. Bogus Shuttles Are Just Around the Corner

Winter this has is not what we are used to in the Treasure Valley, however colder temperatures and snow is just around the corner. Bogus Basin is not open yet, however before too long we will see lower temperatures and more snow as we are accustomed to. When Bogus Basin does open, there is no better way to travel than with Caldwell Transportation.
